May 5, 2004: This month, judges
from around the USA will be selecting their choices for the final
Cornerstone Scripture Songs CD. Stay tuned to this site for the
latest news. We will be posting the top tunes according to the
judges sometime by mid-June.
We have also begun to plan for
the 2005 Cornerstone Scripture Song CD project. Please hold us
in your prayers as we choose topics and rules for the project.

Up. CstoneCD is an initiative to spark a revolution in Christian
music to produce more scripture songs and provide these
songs inexpensively worldwide as discipleship resources.
General Information
Attention songwriters, bands and artists: Whether you're already
a main stage act, been playing the fest generator stages or you're
just starting out, this is your chance to get your music to the
entire Cornerstone Festival crowd and the world. Your song can
be on Cornerstone Festival's first ever compilation cd. That's
right: a copy of the cd will be provided at the gates to everyone
in 2004 for FREE!
Top 21 Songs
In celebration of the festival's 21 years the top 21 songs will
make the compilation cd, but about another 100 more songs will
be included in an embedded mp3 format on the same cd, so your
song has a better chance to make it. Get your message out. Every
songwriter who submits a song will have their name and website
link listed in the ebook jcard also on the cd even if your
song is not chosen this year.

All Songs: Scripture Word-for-Word
This first year the songwriting criteria has a special challenge:
the song lyrics must be verbatim scripture. You must have submitted
your song on this site by March 30, 2004 (OK, we did allow some
exceptions in rare cases!). The 2005 Cornerstone Scripture Song
CD is being planned right now, so schedule some studio time, open
your Bibles and grab your guitars! Surge up with God's word and
be a part of Cornerstone Festival history.
How to Enter the Compilation
It's easy! Just enter your information into
the signup page and follow the steps here online (read the
FAQ, enter your info and songs information, and then pay $10
donation per song through PayPal). Note: All bands must pay
$10 per song, which goes toward the cost of producing the 30,000+
CD's.
Your song will be exposed to about 30,000 people at the gates
of Cornerstone Festival in Illinois (July 1 - July 4), and you
have a chance to win one of the top spots on the CD. This is
*not* a competition, however; it is a compilation of songs from
bands all across the spectrum. Every songwriter who submits
a song will have their name and website link listed in the
ebook jcard also on the cd even if your song is not chosen as
one of the spotlighted songs this year.
Judges Needed
If you have a desire to be on the staff of the team choosing the
finalists for this compilation (finalists will be the artists
and bands who will have their songs spotlighted among the other

our judging efforts are people from all walks of life, including
some major record label industry pro's.
